Municipal Court

Municipal Court hears charges for the violation of city ordinances and codes adopted by the City Council, including those regulating the operation of vehicles within city limits.

The Municipal Judge is appointed by City Council for a term of 4 years. Judge A.D Jones currently serves as Municipal Court Judge. Lynda Cox serves as the Municipal Court Clerk. 

Court is held every Monday and Thursday at 8 a.m. on the 2nd floor of the Sullivan County Justice Center in Room 207. 

Citations may be paid in advance in person at City Hall in Room 203 or by mail. If paying by mail, the forms of payment are local personal check or money order.
