The second session of the Paper Windows project was just completed and the winning entries posted.
“This session was titled ‘Clouds’ and ran from February 22 – March 21, 2017. We had an incredible response with 21 entries,” said project manager Brittany Fleenor. “There are so many talented individuals participating in this project.”
The first place photograph was shot by Gina Deloatch; the title of her piece was “Sky Masterpiece.” She was captivated by the sunset sky on March 14 and decided to capture it in a photo.
The second place winner was Tera Burnette who entered a photograph of a storm rolling in and titled it “Looking Up in Bristol,” third place was taken by Katie Campbell with a photograph titled “Color Me Happy” that was taken at the South Holston Dam.
The photographs are posted on the city’s Facebook page and website, bristoltn.org. “Each month, as the winners are selected, they will be posted on the city’s social media platforms as well as being featured on the city’s government channel, BTES Channel 16 and Charter Channel 192,” Fleenor stated.
Paper Windows Session 3, “A Bird’s Eye View,” is now underway. The deadline to submit photos for Session 3 is April 21, 2017. To submit a photo, entrants must go to bristoltn.org, and click on Paper Windows.
