911 District

Administration
The Department of Administration consists of three departments: Human Resources, Purchasing, and Information Technology.

City Attorney
The Office of the City Attorney provides legal advice and representation to the Mayor and City Council, the City’s various boards and commissions, the City Manager and other City officials and employees on a broad range of issues.

Community Relations
The City of Bristol Tennessee's Community Relations Department serves as the primary link between the city and the news media as well as the support office for other city departments' public relations.

Courts
Juvenile Court and Municipal Court are managed by staff in correlation and with direction from the Juvenile Court Judge and Municipal Court Judge. Juvenile Court provides various services related to children under the age of 18 residing in the City of Bristol, Tennessee. Municipal Court manages the administration of the court docket, reporting, and collections for police tickets and fines from ordinance violations.

Development Services
The Department of Development Services comprises six divisions: Planning, Engineering, Codes Enforcement and Building Inspection, Public Services, Utilities, and the Metropolitan Planning Organization.

Economic Development
The Economic Development Division works with public and private entities to foster job growth retention and to increase the tax base and sustainability of the city.

Finance Department
The Finance Department oversees the accounting, budget, court, financial reporting, property tax, and utility billing functions for the city.

Fire Rescue
Bristol Fire Rescue is a progressive, professional, highly-trained group of 67 full-time and 12 part-time employees, serving a community of approximately 27,000 residents, and providing emergency services to an area of about 32 square miles.

Metropolitan Planning Organization
