Solving and successfully prosecuting crimes is directly related to evidence. The evidence unit has specially trained personnel that facilitate the processing and storage of evidence following strict state and federal guidelines.
The Evidence unit also handles found property such as lost wallets or cellphones that citizens have located and turned in to the police department. These items are safely secured until reclaimed by the property owner.
