Planning Documents

The Bristol MPO and its partner agencies have worked to develop several plans for the improvement of transit services in the region. The following plans are available to the public for review:

Tri-Cities Region Coordinated Public Transit - Human Services Transportation Plan

Published in 2016, the Coordinated Public Transit - Human Services Transportation Plan examined the Tri-Cities region, inventorying transit services and outlining short-term and long-term strategies to address identified service gaps and unmet needs.

Bristol Virginia Transit Development Plan (2023-2028)

Published in March 2023, the Bristol Virginia Transit Development Plan provides service and capital improvement recommendations for a five-year horizon between 2023 and 2028, including potential microtransit service and an extension of current service hours to nights & Saturdays.
