The Emergency Communications District Board of Directors is composed of a 7 member member board, appointed by City Council for 4 year terms.
All members are required to be city residents at time of appointment and maintain city residency during their term of office.
The Bristol Tennessee Emergency Communications District Board of Directors is a separate municipality established by referendum that is charged with the design and delivery of emergency 911 services to the citizens of Bristol, Tennessee. This board oversees all aspects of 911 operations inside the Bristol, Tennessee city limits. Section 50-27 of the Code of Ordinances establishes the board and its duties pursuant to TCA 7-86-105.
