The Operations Bureau, commanded by Major Terry Johnson is the principal component of the police department and is comprised of the Patrol and Criminal Investigations Division (CID), each commanded by a Captain.
The Operations Bureau is responsible for the initial response to calls for service, reporting and investigating crime, investigating accidents, responding to citizen complaints/calls for service and proactive patrol of the city.
Each division of the police department works in concert with the others to ensure the most efficient and effective provision of police services possible.
