Municipal Court

Municipal Court hears charges for the violation of city ordinances and codes adopted by the City Council, including those regulating the operation of vehicles within city limits.

Staff

The Municipal Judge is appointed by City Council for a term of 4 years. Judge A.D Jones currently serves as Municipal Court Judge. Kristi Hensley serves as the Municipal Court Clerk.

Court Court is held every Tuesday and Thursday at 8 a.m. on the 2nd floor of the Sullivan County Justice Center in Room 207.

Attire

Those appearing in Municipal Court are expected to dress appropriately for a courtroom setting. Tank tops, shorts, and similar attire are not permitted.

Payments

Citations may be paid in advance in person at City Hall in Room 203 or by mail. If paying by mail, citations may be paid with a local personal check or money order.
