Bristol's Economic Development Director Attends Governor's Conference
Recently Governor Bill Haslam and TNECD Commissioner Bob Rolfe hosted the Tennessee Economic Development Council Conference in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Hundreds of state and local officials, business executives and economic development professionals were in attendance. The conference provided an opportunity to learn more about Tennessee's strides in recruiting jobs and programs that help to build strong local communities.
Bristol Tennessee's Economic Development Director, Tom Anderson, and April Eads, Business Development Manager for Bristol Tennessee Essential Services, attended the conference. Anderson reported that attending the conference was important to the City because it affords him the ability to learn of new programs and have direct dialog with some of the State's top elected and appointed officials. Those discussions significantly advance opportunities and efforts back home in Bristol.
